MIAMI -- Marlins right-hander is dealing with another family tragedy.
Brandy Volquez, the Miami pitcher's younger brother, was stabbed to death at a barbershop in Santo Domingo, according to multiple news reports out of the Dominican Republic.
The 25-year-old was reportedly involved in a fight with two men early Monday morning. One person is in police custody, but according to USA Today, the police have yet to reveal any further details.
After the incident, Edinson Volquez posted in Spanish on his Instagram account: "I will always remember you my brother. May God have you in his kingdom. RIP one love."

It's another tragic loss for the Marlins right-hander, whose father passed away hours before he started Game 1 of the 2015 World Series while with the Royals against the Mets.
Edinson Volquez, who has a home in South Florida, signed a two-year, $22 million contract with the Marlins on Dec. 1. The 33-year-old was added to help stabilize the rotation and to add veteran leadership to a franchise that has been grieving the death of All-Star .
Volquez has a history of durability, and the Marlins are banking on the right-hander at the top of the rotation.
Volquez and the rest of the Marlins' pitchers and catchers open Spring Training in Jupiter, Fla., on Feb. 14.
