Cabrera to host 'The Miggy Ball'

January 12th, 2016

Tigers superstar Miguel Cabrera will raise money for his foundation while having a good time with fans by hosting "The Miggy Ball," to be held on Jan. 28 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami.
Proceeds from the inaugural event will go toward the Miguel Cabrera Foundation -- established several years ago by Cabrera and his wife Rosangel, to help renovate and revitalize youth baseball fields in Detroit, Miami and Cabrera's native country of Venezuela. The foundation also provides money for academic scholarships.
"The Miggy Ball" will feature a cocktail party hosted by Chef Allen of The Café at Books & Books, as well as a Peroni bar. A live and silent auction will give guests a chance to win exciting items. Guests can also get an in-person look at Cabrera's Triple Crown, presented to him by Major League Baseball for his 2012 batting triple crown. The evening ends with a private concert by a Latin Grammy Award-winning artist.
Tickets from "The Miggy Ball" cost $175 for general admission and $250 for a VIP experience.
