Scouting report
After dominating the high school ranks in Colorado, Winn sought out tougher competition and transferred to California, where he continued to thrive.
The right-hander has a trio of plus pitches, including a slider that is much improved. Winn has a clean and easy delivery that should help him develop consistent command.
His pitching coach has said that he gets amped up at times and sometimes loses his mechanics, but that he's very quick to get it under control and get back on track.

Fun fact: Winn was named the Colorado State High School Pitcher of the year for the 2016-17 season
He said it: "I think I've had to raise my level a little bit. Obviously, I want to show what I could do out here and prove what I did in Colorado I can do anywhere. In Colorado, every once in a while you would face a guy who would be going Division I. Out here, you face lineups of guys who are going D-I." -- Winn to USA Today on his move to California
They said it: "We play three-game series and he takes the ball in Game 1 every time. He's our horse and he's our guy. There's a little extra excitement when he pitches." -- Lutheran head coach Eric Borba to USA Today
