Sweet! National Cotton Candy day celebrated
December 7th, 2017
Matt Kelly
As the long winter sets in, we're already pining for the warm summer nights when baseball is always on. Thursday marks National Cotton Candy Day, and it has us thinking about a ballpark staple.
Cotton candy dates back to the 1400s, when it was known as spun sugar, and remains the perfect light and sweet treat for an afternoon or evening in the seats. It will be months before the ballpark lights shine again, so for now a heaping helping of cotton candy will have to suffice.
