Josh Aiken, who has worked with Major League Baseball for nearly 15 years while with the BakerHostetler law firm, has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president, government relations.
MLB has opened an office for Aiken in Washington, D.C. He will support the game as a full-time member of the Commissioner's Office and will report to Dan Halem, MLB's chief legal officer.
It was also announced Thursday that Lucy Calautti will continue to represent MLB in Washington. She also worked for BakerHostetler and has worked with baseball since May 2000. During some of that time, she was director of federal relations.
Further, the Duberstein Group has been hired with partners Ken Duberstein, Dan Meyer, Steve Champlin, Brian Griffin and David Schiappa providing counsel on government-related issues.
