LIVE: Back on the field! MLB Network is all over it

July 3rd, 2020

Major League Baseball teams are returning to the field today as training for the 2020 season officially resumes, and MLB Network is covering it all right now with an epic, seven-hour MLB Tonight presented by Camping World. A simulcast is available on MLB.com for the first six hours of the broadcast.

For the first time since the coronavirus pandemic shut down Spring Training in March, fans will be able to catch a glimpse of live MLB action as MLB Tonight brings you frequent look-ins at the workouts being held around the Majors, plus interviews with players and front-office personnel, roster analysis and a discussion of some of the unique features of the 2020 season, which is scheduled to begin July 23 and 24.

Three studio crews -- Matt Vasgersian, Ron Darling and Tom Verducci from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET; Greg Amsinger, Dan Plesac and Harold Reynolds from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and Brian Kenny, Plesac and Reynolds from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. -- take you through the day’s action, which marks the start of 2020 Summer Camp presented by Camping World.

MLB Tonight also will have correspondents reporting from six locations -- Scott Braun (Phillies), Alexa Datt (Nationals), Jon Paul Morosi (Cubs), Stephen Nelson (Rangers), Heidi Watney (Mets) and David Vassegh (Dodgers) -- and will check in at other camps throughout the day via ballpark cams.
