Nationals agree to deal with 8th-round pick

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals agreed to terms with right-hander A.J. Bogucki, their eighth-round pick in the 2016 Draft, MLB.com has learned. Bogucki will receive a bonus of $150,000. The club has not confirmed the deal.
Bogucki, who went to the University of North Carolina, had a nice comeback season in 2016, going 5-5 with a 2.86 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 50 1/3 innings while pitching out of the bullpen. Opposing hitters batted .212 against him.

This was the second time Bogucki was drafted. In 2013, he was selected by the Twins in the 31st round.
