LOS ANGELES -- The Nationals agreed to terms with four more players from the 2016 Draft on Tuesday, including fourth-round pick Nick Banks.
Banks, the 124th overall pick, agreed to terms with the Nationals for $500,000, according to MLBPipeline.com's Jim Callis. The assigned slot value for the selection was $473,300.
Banks, who played for Texas A&M, was once projected as a first-rounder after a strong performance on Team USA's college team last summer. But he had surgery to remove a cyst from his lower back in the fall and had not been consistent this past season.
Washington also agreed to terms with outfielder Armond Upshaw (11th round), shortstop Tyler Beck (17th round) and right-fielder Sam Held (29th round). The Nats have now reached deals with 27 players, including 11 of their top 12 picks. Dane Dunning, selected 29th overall, is expected to sign, but had been pitching for the University of Florida in the College World Series.
