Nationals rookies make statement with 'revolutionary' outfits at start of West Coast trip

Rookie traditions are still alive and well across Major League Baseball, and the Nationals began their West Coast road trip with one of their own.

The club shared photos on social media of rookies Yohandy Morales, Harry Ford, Riley Cornelio and Andrew Alvarez leaving for Dodger Stadium dressed like America’s founding fathers. Oh, and one (Cornelio) in a gigantic bald eagle suit.

Outfielder Daylen Lile joined in on the fun, too, despite having exhausted his rookie eligibility in 2025. He rocked a stars-and-stripes polo with a particularly patriotic top hat.

In the same year we celebrated America’s 250th birthday, these Nats youngsters certainly lived up to the moment.
