On Saturday, a pair of Oakland University outfielders combined to prevent a home run against Northern Kentucky.

Oakland left fielder John Lauinger raced back to the left-center-field wall in an attempt to make a leaping grab. While Lauinger didn’t make the catch, the ball ricocheted off his glove back into play, where center fielder Reggie Bussey dove to catch the ball.

It’s not often that you witness two outfielders coming together to record an out. These Oakland outfielders proved that it’s possible in the wildest of circumstances.
