Herrera's administrative leave extended by MLB

June 3rd, 2019

SAN DIEGO -- Major League Baseball has extended Odubel Herrera’s administrative leave through June 17.

Herrera is on leave as the league investigates an alleged domestic violence incident from May 27 in Atlantic City, N.J. He was arrested on a charge of simple assault, and his arraignment is scheduled for June 17.

“The next step is to get the results of the investigation that's being conducted by the league, and they'll work with the local law enforcement in Atlantic City,” Phillies general manager Matt Klentak said last week. “They'll work together. When we get the results of that investigation, then we will have to make our decision on what we do.”
