Curses, apparently, are real. Just check with the Orioles as every 10 years it is their solemnly sworn duty to upset the entire postseason picture.
Perhaps you remember it: On Sept. 28, 2011 -- the famous Game 162 day -- the Red Sox simply needed to beat the Orioles to secure their postseason place. Instead, Robert Andino dropped a walk-off RBI single right in front of a diving Carl Crawford to beat Boston and end their season.
Last year, Andino even looked back on the day -- giving a blow-by-blow of the events and his role as the modern Bucky Dent.
Well, the Orioles did it again. On Tuesday, the Red Sox entered the series against the Orioles with a slim half-game lead for the second Wild Card spot and were surely hoping to win the series against the 107-loss Orioles. Instead, Baltimore won two out of three, defeating Boston, 6-2, on Thursday night to put the Mariners in a deadlock tie with Boston for the final postseason spot.
How did they celebrate and/or troll the entire city of Boston? Why, they changed their Twitter avatar to Andino's smiling portrait:

The O's aren't done playing spoiler just yet, either: They play the Blue Jays this weekend, who are one game out of the second Wild Card. A few more Baltimore victories and they can ruin another team's October dreams.
