Orioles ink 14 to Minor League contracts

Marinez, Edgin among notable signees with MLB experience

The Orioles announced on Tuesday that they signed 14 players to Minor League contracts, including six players with Major League experience.
Among the most notable players were right-hander , left-handers Josh Edgin, and and infielders and .
Marinez held a 3.70 ERA over 58 1/3 innings for the Brewers, Pirates and Rangers last year, while Edgin threw 37 innings with a 3.65 ERA for the Mets. O'Rourke last appeared in the Majors in 2016 but has a career 4.98 ERA over 47 innings, while Rodriguez made 26 appearances with the Phillies last season.

The Orioles acquired Sardinas off waivers in late May, although he only appeared in Triple-A Norfolk after playing 29 games for the Padres. Tejada, meanwhile, was acquired from the Yankees two weeks later and hit .230/.293/.283 over 124 plate appearances with Baltimore.
Six of the players were in the Orioles' organization last year, including Sardinas, Tejada, catcher Armando Araiza, first baseman Ryan Ripken and infielders Garabez Rosa and . Ripken, whom the Orioles drafted out of high school in 2012, is the son of legend Cal Ripken Jr.
Other players who agreed to deals included right-handers Ralston Cash and , catcher Yojhan Quevedo and infielder Angelo Mora.
