Padres announce spring home schedule

November 15th, 2017

Spring is coming.
On Wednesday, the Padres unveiled their 2018 Spring Training home schedule, with pitchers and catchers set to report to the Peoria Sports Complex on Feb. 14. The first full-squad workout is slated for Feb. 19, and the first game will take place at home on Feb. 23 against the Mariners.
In fact, the Friars begin and end their Cactus League slate with games against the Mariners, their neighbors at the Peoria Sports Complex. Following their game on March 25, the Padres will head to El Paso for an exhibition game against the Chihuahuas, their Triple-A affiliate. That game is slated for 6:35 p.m. PT on March 26.

Highlights from the schedule include home games against the National League West-rival Dodgers on Feb. 28 and the Giants on March 15.
The schedule includes off-days on March 14 and 19. Following their game in El Paso, the Padres will return to San Diego with a two-day respite before opening the season against the Brewers on March 29 at Petco Park. San Diego won't face the Brewers during Cactus League play.
This spring marks the Padres' 25th season in Peoria, and tickets for all games at the Peoria Sports Complex go on sale Dec. 6.
