Pinto has a 3.12 ERA through seven Double-A starts, but his success this year shouldn't come as a surprise.
After all, the 22-year-old was named the Phillies' Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2015 after he went 15-4 with a 2.97 ERA in 24 starts across two levels of Class A.
Phillies No. 23 prospect Dylan Cozens helped provide run support for Pinto as he hit a solo homer in the third inning off of Yankees No. 22 prospect Cale Coshow. The homer was Cozens' 10th of the year, third in three games and fifth in six games.
