Phils agree to Minors deals with Burnett, Nava

December 10th, 2016

PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies announced Monday they have signed left-hander , outfielder and infielders and to Minor League contracts.
The four players will be in Spring Training as non-roster invitees.
MLB.com reported the Burnett and Nava deals on Saturday.
Burnett, 34, is 15-23 with a 3.52 ERA in 380 appearances over nine seasons with the Pirates, Nationals and Angels. He has pitched only 16 innings in the big leagues since 2012 because of two Tommy John surgeries. But with the Phillies thin on left-handed bullpen depth, he can compete for a relief job.
