The Pirates have recalled RHP Geoff Hartlieb and RHP Yefry Ramírez from Triple-A Indianapolis; RHP Alex McRae and RHP Montana DuRapau have been optioned back to Indy.
This will be Hartlieb’s second stint with Pittsburgh this season; he was with the big league club from 5/17 to 6/29 and went 0-1 with an 8.10 ERA (20 IP, 18 ER) in 14 games. He has gone 3-0 with a 2.62 ERA (34.1 IP, 10 ER) and two saves in 21 Triple-A appearances. Hartlieb will wear uniform #72.
Ramirez was with the Pirates for two days in June, but did not pitch. He went 0-2 with a 6.97 ERA (10.1 IP, 8 ER) in four appearances (one start) with the Orioles before being optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on 5/20 and designated for assignment on 5/22.
