Spring Breakout Tickets Are Available Now

Major League Baseball today announced the rosters and broadcast schedule for the third annual “Spring Breakout” prospect games that will be part of Major League Spring Training and broadcast on MLB Network, local RSNs and streamed on MLB.TV, MLB.com and the MLB App from March 19th-22nd.

The Spring Breakout games serve as a showcase of baseball’s future stars, as each Major League Club will field a team of top prospects playing another organization’s top prospects in a nine-inning exhibition game. In total, 210 players who participated in the first two iterations of the Spring Breakout have gone on to play Major League Baseball, with three of the last four Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year Award winners (Pirates right-hander Paul Skenes, Athletics first baseman Nick Kurtz and Braves catcher Drake Baldwin) all being Spring Breakout alums.

All games will be carried live by MLB Network, local RSNs, or streamed on MLB’s Digital Properties. Eleven of the 16 games will be played as a standalone game at a Major League Spring Training venue, with the remaining five contests being played as a single-admission doubleheader with an MLB Spring Training game.

The current 40-man player pool rosters prior to the start of the Spring Breakout games on March 19th.

ROSTER HIGHLIGHTS

The Spring Breakout 40-man player pool rosters, which will be reduced to 27-man rosters on March 16th, were announced earlier today on MLB Network, and feature 91 of the Top 100 Prospects according to MLB Pipeline. Twenty-eight No. 1 prospects are among the players in the 40-man pools, as are 28 players ranked No. 2 in their respective organizations.

Fourteen of the Top 15 overall prospects are slated to play, led by Pirates shortstop Konnor Griffin, the top-ranked prospect in baseball according to MLB Pipeline. The Cardinals, Guardians and Mariners boast the most Top 100 Prospects on their preliminary rosters with six each, while two of the 16 games could feature as many as 10 of the Top 100 Prospects (Mariners vs. Brewers and White Sox vs. Dodgers).

Among the 65 players selected in the first two rounds of the 2025 MLB Draft, 62 are on preliminary rosters, including the first pick for all 30 clubs. The preliminary rosters include 97 players selected in the first round of the draft, including 27 players that were among the top 10 picks of their respective drafts.

Players from 23 different countries and territories dot the rosters, including players from Australia, Colombia, France, Japan, New Zealand, Panama, Slovakia, Spain and Taiwan.

The 2026 Spring Breakout rosters feature 39 players who are alums of the Nike RBI and/or MLB Develops programs, including the DREAM Series, Breakthrough Series, MLB Youth Academies, the Hank Aaron Invitational, and other events.
