Astros back home to face Twins and Angels for seven-game homestand

Highlights of the homestand includes Asian American and Pacific Islander Night, Girl’s Night Out and ring, bobblehead and replica jersey giveaways

HOUSTON, Texas – The Astros return to Minute Maid Park for a seven-game homestand, welcoming in the Minnesota Twins for three, May 29-31 and the Los Angeles Angels for four, June 1-4.

Highlights include a Jeremy Peña Gold Glove bobblehead, a Lance McCullers Jr. throwback replica jersey, an Alex Bregman ‘Jump Throw’ bobblehead, a Cristian Javier World Series replica ring, the Astros’ first-ever Asian American and Pacific Islander Night, Mental Health Awareness Night, Girl’s Night Out, and more.

Monday, May 29 – Astros vs. Minnesota Twins: 3:10 p.m.
The Astros will open the series against the Minnesota Twins on Memorial Day at 3:10 p.m. CT.

In honor of Memorial Day and those brave service members who lost their lives for our Nation, the Astros will participate in a league-wide National Moment of Remembrance at 3 p.m. CT. As part of a league-wide additional tribute to service men and women our Nation has lost, all on-field Astros personnel will wear the traditional Memorial red poppy patch on the left side of their jerseys with the words “Lest We Forget” included.

Our nation’s colors will be presented by the Joint Services Color Guard, TAPS will be played by bugler Corporal Jason Browne of USMC and the National Anthem and God Bless America in the seventh inning will be sung by U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Promise Harris.

The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by Nancy Harrison, First Vice President and Chaplain of the Greater Southeast Texas Chapter of American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. Her son, Airman First Class Michael Mahony, gave his life for our country. She will be joined by her fellow Gold Star Mothers, who represent all those families who lost a loved one serving our great nation.

Also, in honor of Memorial Day, at the end of the first inning, a wreath will be laid on the OXY seats behind home plate by Joint Color Guard members in honor of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Tuesday, May 30 – Astros vs. Minnesota Twins: 7:10 p.m.
Game two of the series against the Twins is set for 7:10 p.m. CT on Tuesday.

Every Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park is Dollar Dog Night, presented by Texas Chili Company. Fans are treated to all-you-can-eat hot dogs that are just $1 each Tuesday home game during the season.

The Astros will welcome back 2022 World Series champion catcher Christian Vazquez in a pregame ceremony.

Tuesday is also the Astros’ first-ever Asian American and Pacific Islander Night. The Astros will be hosting Filipino Young Professionals and Japan – America Society of Houston, who will have informational tables at Hall of Fame Alley. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by Janae Tsai – Asia Society’s Board of Director and a member of the founding family of The American First National Bank. The National Anthem and the Play Ball call will both come from those representing Asian American and Pacific Islander Night.

Tuesday is also Mental Health Awareness Day. In a pregame ceremony, the Astros Foundation will be presenting NAMI Greater Houston with a check, and the president and CEO of The Menninger Clinic, Armando Columbo, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Wednesday, May 31 – Astros vs. Minnesota Twins: 7:10 p.m.
The Astros will finish off the three-game series against the Twins at 7:10 p.m. CT on Wednesday.

All fans in attendance will receive a Cristian Javier World Series Replica Ring, presented by Jostens.

The Astros are also hosting 30 Special Olympic Texas athletes for the game.

A portion of the proceeds from the Share2Care 50/50 Raffle on Wednesday will go to Special Olympics Texas.

Thursday, June 1 – Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels: 7:10 p.m.
The Astros open up the four-game series with the Angels at 7:10 p.m. CT on Thursday.

All fans in attendance will receive an Alex Bregman Jump Throw Bobblehead, presented by H-E-B.

New Rockets head coach Ime Udoka will be throwing out a ceremonial first pitch.

Friday, June 2 – Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels: 7:10 p.m.
Game two of the series against the Angels is set for 7:10 p.m. CT.

Friday, June 2 is also Lou Gehrig Day. In honor of Lou Gehrig Day, the first pitch and first call will come from the nonprofit organization, I AM ALS. 300 tickets were sent to organizations and family members and staff with ties to ALS. The veterans being honored through the OXY Military seats on Friday are veterans that are also ALS patients.

A portion of the proceeds from the 50/50 Share2Care raffle will go to I AM ALS.

10,000 fans will receive a Lance McCullers Jr. 90s Replica Jersey, presented by Bank of America.

Friday Night Fireworks presented by ConocoPhillips are set for postgame, featuring the musical theme of Girl Power. Friday Night Fireworks are subject to weather. In the event a show must be cancelled due to weather, refunds will not be granted.

Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Michelob Ultra Bar. Fans can enjoy $5 Ultra Drafts, a live D.J. and amazing views.

Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña will host the fifth Peña’s Pals of the 2023 season. Pena’s Pals is a new program developed by Jeremy in partnership with the Astros Foundation. He wants to celebrate kids and their development in academics, character building and making healthy choices. During the 2023 season, Jeremy will choose a school/organization and pick five Peña Pals students based on character, grades and growth. Those five students will be treated to an Astros game courtesy of Peña, and will attend batting practice, receive special Peña’s Pals shirts and more.

Saturday, June 3 – Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels: 3:10 p.m.
Game three of the series against the Angels is set for 3:10 p.m. CT on Saturday.

The Astros will host a Girls’ Night Out on Saturday, with a Kendra Scott necklace and hat add-on available. There will also be a pregame celebration in Hall of Fame Alley, including a vendor expo, DJ and photobooth. Items from the ticket add-on can be picked up from 1:00pm – 5:00pm in the Union Station Lobby Café, adjacent to the Saint Arnold Bar. Sunday, June 4 – Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels: 1:10 p.m.
The Astros will finish up the four-game series with the Angels at 1:10 p.m. CT on Sunday.

Sunday is also Yoga Day, presented by Houston Methodist. A special yoga add-on package is available, along with a 45-minute yoga session on the field after the game led by a professional yoga instructor. Kid’s Run the Bases, presented by Olshan Foundation Solutions, will occur for all kids in attendance ages 5-12 after the game.

Unless otherwise indicated because of a national broadcast, Astros local broadcasts are exclusively on AT&T SportsNet. Returning to the broadcast booth this year will be Todd Kalas and Geoff Blum along with reporter Julia Morales. Astros regular season coverage on AT&T SportsNet begins on Friday, March 31st when the defending World Series Champion Astros take on the Chicago White Sox at Minute Maid Park for Championship ring day. Coverage begins off with a special hour- long pregame show starting at 6pm. All season long Astros coverage will include Astros Pregame Show and Postgame Shows with Kevin Eschenfelder returning as host. Joining Eschenfelder on a rotating basis for another season will be former major leaguers Mike Stanton, Brian Bogusevic, Clay Hensley and Michael Bourn.
