Libraries in more than 20 DFW municipalities participating in 2021 Texas Rangers Summer Reading Club

Honorary Spokesman Eric Nadel to host virtual and in-person readings across DFW metroplex

June 22nd, 2021

Arlington, Texas— The Texas Rangers Summer Reading Program is officially underway in more than 20 participating libraries across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. 2021 marks the 19th year of the Rangers Summer Reading Program.

Rangers Hall of Fame broadcaster Eric Nadel will serve as the honorary chairman of the Summer Reading Club for the sixth consecutive year. He will host a series of virtual and in-person readings over the next several weeks at local libraries.

Reading logs and additional information is available at all participating libraries for students in grades K through 12. To become an official summer Reading Club All-Star, students will record the number of minutes they read, Monday through Friday over four weeks.

All Reading Club participants receive a club bookmark and are eligible for discounted tickets to the Rangers home game against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday, Aug. 1. Students can check with their local library for more details on how to earn the discounted ticket, priced at just $5 per student.

Family members and friends may buy additional tickets at a discounted price for the Aug. 1 game, if purchased in advance, while supplies last.
