The Orioles today unveiled their second iteration of Nike's City Connect Uniforms, depicting the beauty of Baltimore, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and everything in between, from the stoop to the yard. Charm, grit, and pride: every detail brings the spirit of Baltimore's beloved stoops straight to the one place we all call home. For more information, visit Orioles.com/CityConnect.
UNIFORM STORY:
When Oriole Park at Camden Yards opened in 1992, it wasn’t designed to feel like a stadium dropped into a city. It was designed to feel like it belonged. In Baltimore, home starts at the stoop. Where neighbors perch along marble steps, kids send wiffle balls soaring, and Skylite snowballs drip as the sun dips below the rowhomes. Here, pride is cemented between every brick. Charm City through and through. And this big stoop energy is what inspired our ballpark down the street.
Since 1992, Camden Yards has united us under steel beams and summer skies. That iconic warehouse holding it all down like the corner house on the block. Some call it charming. A crown jewel. The Ballpark That Forever Changed Baseball, even. But us? We call The Yard home.
UNIFORM DETAILS:
- The Home Run Patch: On Eutaw Street, brass plaques stamp the exact landing spots of home runs that soared over our right field flag court. This patch is inspired by these iconic ballmarkers - tradition stitched right on our sleeve.
- The Name: BMORE reps every neighborhood in Baltimore. The Oriole Bird is perched proudly atop BMORE, front and center. Right where it belongs.
- Jocktag: For over three decades, the historic, 19th-century scoreboard clock has kept watch - its swirling, wrought-iron work bringing just the right amount of charm and whimsy. Now featured on the jocktag, the clock is a symbol of our timeless ballpark and the city's enduring spirit.
- The Trim: An orange trim on the sleeves and pants draws inspiration from the brickwork that defines our iconci warehouse and the rowhomes that shape our city.
- The Camden B: A logo inspired by the 1890s Baltimore Baseball Club, the Camden "B" is a symbol of Baltimore's rich baseball history. The mark was built into our end seats when Camden Yards first opened - connecting today's fans to generations of baseball that came before.
- Invested in Birdland: We teamed up with our partners at T. Rowe price - proudly headquartered here in Baltimore - to reimagine their blue and white patch with Birdland's black, orange, and Camden green.
