DALLAS -- The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation hosted its annual Back-to-School Distribution presented by Fifth Third on Thursday evening at the Texas Rangers Youth Academy.
“The Texas Rangers Youth Academy strives to create opportunities for young members of our community to succeed on and off the field,” said Karin Morris, executive director of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and senior vice president of Community Impact. “By providing school supplies, we hope to help students and families have the resources they need to focus on learning.”
Now in its ninth year, the Rangers Youth Academy, Fifth Third and Buckner International distributed 400 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to high school, middle school and elementary school students.
Community partners Buckner International, Mercy Street, Uplift Education, Education is Freedom, Dallas PD also helped distribute supplies to students.
Dallas ISD students return to school on Tuesday, August 11.
