Rangers name Neil Leibman as COO

April 6th, 2018

The Rangers announced Friday that they have appointed Neil Leibman to be the club's Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.
Liebman has previously served as the chairman of the club's ownership committee dating back to the spring of 2013. He will now head the Rangers' revenue and business operations while continuing to serve as chairman of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.
"Neil has played an integral role in the growth of this organization in a variety of areas since taking an active role as Chairman of the Ownership Committee more than five years ago," said Rangers Co-Chairman and Managing Partner Ray Davis in an official team statement, "and he will be an ever greater asset going forward. Neil and I will continue to work closely with our management team in setting a direction to make this franchise the best in Major League Baseball."
Liebman has been an integral part of Rangers leadership since he was an original member of the ownership group that purchased the club in 2010. He has served on the Rangers' Board of Directors while also helping the franchise purchase the Carolina League's Down East Wood Ducks in 2016 and the South Atlantic League's Hickory Crawdads last fall. Liebman is also a member of Major League Baseball's Diversity and International Committees.
