June 20th, 2017

ARLINGTON -- The Rangers have signed eight more of their 2017 Draft Picks, the club announced Tuesday.
Including first-rounders Bubba Thompson and Chris Seise and second-rounder Hans Crouse, who signed last week, the Rangers now have 11 of their picks under contract, all of whom have been assigned to the Arizona Rangers in the Arizona Rookie League.
Third-round selection Matthew Whatley, a catcher from Oral Robert University, headlined the latest signings on Tuesday. He hit .302 with 11 home runs and 49 RBIs in 59 games last season, and he drew 50 walks -- the 11th-most in the country. (first-round pick in 2013) and Jose Trevino (sixth-round pick in '14) join Whatley as recent Rangers selections from Oral Roberts.
