July 31st, 2017

The Rangers have traded reliever back to the Brewers, acquiring right-handed pitcher Tayler Scott in return.
Jeffress will go back to Milwaukee exactly one year after being acquired by Texas along with catcher for outfielders and and pitcher . Lucroy was traded to the Rockies on Saturday night for a player to be named.
The Rangers were counting on Jeffress to be a part of a strong bullpen this season, but he was 1-2 with a 5.31 ERA in 39 games. In 40 2/3 innings, he allowed 49 hits -- including eight home runs -- and 19 walks while striking out 29.
Scott, who was born in South Africa, was 4-6 with a 3.06 ERA in 42 games for Double-A Biloxi. He is averaging 9.2 strikeouts, 5.1 walks and 8.3 hits per nine innings. Scott was originally drafted in the fifth round of the 2011 Draft by the Cubs. The Brewers signed him out of an independent league last year.
