Rangers-Yanks postponed Friday; twin bill on Sunday

May 6th, 2022

The New York Yankees have announced that Friday's Yankees-Rangers game will not be played due to the forecast of sustained inclement weather.

The game will be made up as the second game of a single-admission doubleheader on Sunday. The first game will begin as originally scheduled at 1:35 p.m. The second game will start approximately 30 minutes after the first game ends.

Tickets for Friday's game will not be valid for the Sunday single-admission doubleheader.

On Sunday, all Yankee Stadium Gates will open to fans with valid tickets at noon.

Please note that the distribution of tonight’s “Star Wars Night Yankees Yoda Bobblehead” promotion item (for the first 18,000 Guests) has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 25 at 7:05 p.m., when the Yankees take on the Baltimore Orioles.

Fans holding paid tickets for tonight’s game (Friday, May 6) may exchange them for tickets to a similar regular season game at Yankee Stadium (subject to availability) — including the rescheduled May 25 promotional date — as described in the Yankees’ rain check policy, which may be found at www.yankees.com/raincheck.

The first game of Sunday’s doubleheader vs. Texas will be broadcast by Prime Video, and the second game will be broadcast by the YES Network.

Complimentary (COMP) tickets and tickets obtained via the Commissioner’s Initiative for Kids for tonight’s game (Friday, May 6) are not valid for any future games. COMP tickets or equivalent tickets bear no cash value and do not have any additional benefits that may be offered to ticket(s) with a dollar value.
