November 27th, 2019

CINCINNATI -- For the second time in a week, the Reds and Rays were trade partners after they executed a deal on Wednesday.

Cincinnati sent outfielder/first baseman to Tampa Bay for cash and a player to be named later. On Nov. 20 in a separate trade, the Reds acquired pitching prospect from the Rays -- also for cash and a player to be named.

O’Grady, 27, made his Major League debut this past season for the Reds and batted .190 with two homers. In 112 games for Triple-A Louisville, he hit .280/.359/.550 with 28 home runs and 77 RBIs.

O’Grady was designated for assignment by the Reds on Monday to clear space on the 40-man roster for right-handed pitcher after his acquisition from the Blue Jays and outfielder , a waiver claim from the Padres.
