The Pulaski River Turtles fell to the Elizabethton River Riders in a defensive battle, 3-0. Pulaski is now 21-13 on the season while Elizabethton now stands at 18-15.

The River Riders kicked off the scoring in the third with an RBI double followed by an error, and made the score, 2-0, after three. Five scoreless innings followed until Elizabethton tagged on an insurance run in the top of the ninth to make it 3-0.

Pulaski had the game-tying run at the plate in the bottom of the ninth but couldn’t find a way to bring in those runs.

The win went to Drew Gillespie, who allowed three hits, no runs, walked none and struck out six. The loss went to Brandon Gielow. He allowed one hit, two runs, walked one and struck out four.

Player of the game would go to Mark Trotta, who went 2-for-4 on the night.
