ST. LOUIS -- Catcher Robinson Chirinos got a scare in the ninth inning of the Rangers' 4-3 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday, but he will live to play another day.
Chirinos was hit by a pitch on his right arm by reliever Trevor Rosenthal, but it was in a different spot than in April. Chirinos was hit on the base of his hand instead of the middle of the forearm.
Chirinos suffered a fractured right forearm when he was hit on April 9 and missed two months. This time, X-rays were negative, and he should be fine.

"Yeah, when it first hit me, I thought it hit me down the arm," Chirinos said. "It hit me in a good spot. They did X-rays, things look really good."
Chirinos came out of the game in the bottom of the ninth, but manager Jeff Banister said it was more of a National League double-switch.
