Source: Rockies, No. 38 pick Tyler agree

June 16th, 2016

The Rockies have agreed to terms with supplemental first-round pick Robert Tyler, according to a source.
The deal, which the club has not confirmed, is worth $1,701,600, which is full slot value for the 38th overall pick -- where Colorado selected Tyler out of Georgia.
Tyler, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound right-hander, was ranked as MLB Pipeline's No. 25 prospect heading into the Draft. He went 3-5 with a 4.10 ERA in 14 starts this season, holding hitters to a .200 average.
Tyler was unpredictable at times while at Georgia, but he features a 92-95 mph fastball with a plus changeup.
