Rox-Nats postponed; doubleheader Sunday

WASHINGTON -- During Nationals manager Dusty Baker's meeting with the media Friday afternoon, phones began buzzing of a flash flood warning in Washington. With consistent rain falling throughout the day and continuing through the impending forecast for the evening, Friday's game between the Nationals and Rockies was postponed.
The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Sunday, with the first game beginning at 1:35 p.m. ET and the second, the rescheduled game, at 7:05 p.m. All tickets for Friday's game will be honored for the rescheduled game, and fans can visit nationals.com/rain for more information.
Washington will remain on rotation for the weekend, with right-hander to take the mound Saturday night. That means Erick Fedde, the club's top pitching prospect as rated by MLBPipeline.com, will have to wait until Sunday to make his Major League debut. will start the other game of the doubleheader, though the Nationals have not decided which pitcher will start which game.
