After a breakout second half in the Florida State League in 2015, Rowdy Tellez is proving this year that he's the real deal in Double-A.
Tellez, the Blue Jays' No. 9 prospect, belted a pair of two-run homers on Sunday afternoon to lead Double-A New Hampshire past Erie, 7-4. It was his first multi-homer game of the season and second of his career.
After lining out in his first at-bat, the 21-year-old first baseman hit a line-drive shot out to right field with two outs in the bottom of the third inning, and then later connected on another two-out bomb during his next trip to the plate in the fifth inning.

With the two-homer performance, Tellez is now tied for fourth in the Eastern League with his 16 home runs and ranks third with a .904 OPS. He's gone deep three times in his past 10 games for the Fisher Cats, during which he's posted a .359 average with seven RBIs and seven runs scored.
Overall, Tellez is hitting .299/.389/.515 through 95 games this season, with 20 doubles, 50 RBIs and a solid 48-71 walk-to-strikeout ratio.

• No. 23 overall prospect Rafael Devers tallied three RBIs and collected three hits in a second straight game for Class A Advanced Salem. The Red Sox's No. 3 prospect hit his seventh triple in the contest, finishing 3-for-5 at the plate. Leading Salem on the mound was No. 79 overall prospect Michael Kopech (Red Sox's No. 5), who yielded an unearned run while striking out seven in five innings.
• No. 29 overall prospect Aaron Judge (Yankees' No. 4) connected on a sixth-inning grand slam to pace Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's offense to a 5-0 win over Syracuse. Left-hander Jordan Montgomery (Yankees' No. 20) was equally impressive on the bump for the RailRiders as he tossed six scoreless innings of three-hit ball, striking out five and walking one.

• No. 38 overall prospectFrancis Martes (Astros' No. 3) fired seven strong innings to lead Double-A Corpus Christi past Midland, 3-1. The 20-year-old right-hander allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out seven, with 60 of his 90 pitches going for strikes in the outing.
• No. 53 overall prospect Nick Senzel (Reds' No. 1) hit a two-run homer in Class A Dayton's matchup against Lake County, his third long ball in as many games. The 2015 No. 2 overall Draft pick has hit six homers in 34 games since moving up to the Midwest League.
• No. 100 overall prospect Anthony Alford (Blue Jays' No. 3) hit a leadoff home run -- his sixth of the season -- for Class A Advanced Dunedin, which defeated Brevard County, 2-1. After finishing the game 2-for-5 at the plate, the speedy centerfielder now has raised his season average to .235 from .183 in the past month.
• Giants No. 3 prospect Chris Shaw hit a solo home run and a two-run double, but it wasn't enough to keep Double-A Richmond from falling to Bowie. The 2015 first-rounder's deep fly was his 19th of the season and third in 34 games since moving up to the Eastern League.
• Mariners No. 5 prospect Luiz Gohara continued to roll for Class A Clinton as he struck out seven hitters over six scoreless innings in a win against Beloit. Since being promoted to full-season ball, the 6-foot-3 left-hander is 4-1 in seven starts, with a 1.73 ERA and a 49-14 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 41 2/3 innings.
• Rays No. 5 prospect Joshua Lowe hit his third pro home run and first since being promoted to Rookie-level Princeton from the Gulf Coast League. The 2016 first-round pick finished the contest 3-for-5 at the plate, with two runs scored and a stolen base.
• Brewers No. 10 prospectIsan Diaz hit his Midwest League-best 17th home run in Class A Wisconsin's loss to Kane County. The 20-year-old shortstop has been red-hot at the plate since the All-Star break, hitting .345/.432/.679 with 11 home runs, 12 doubles and 32 RBIs over his past 43 contests.
• Rockies No. 10 prospect Forrest Wall hit his sixth home run, scored twice and drove in three runs to help Class A Modesto defeat Lancaster, 12-10. The 20-year-old second baseman also notched his fourth triple to finish the game 2-for-4 and improved his overall batting line to .257/.320/.358 through 97 games.
• Yankees No. 13 prospect Dustin Fowler went deep for a second straight game for Double-A Trenton, his eighth home run this season in 107 games. The 21-year-old outfielder has been on a tear since the All-Star break, hitting .363 with 16 extra-base hits and 25 RBIs over 23 games to lift his overall average to .287.
