Russell Wilson will be back at Yankees camp next month. The Super Bowl-champion quarterback's agent, Mark Rodgers, confirmed in an interview with MLB Network on Thursday that Wilson will attend New York's Spring Training, as he did in 2018.
The Yankees own Wilson's baseball rights after the Rangers traded him to New York last February. Wilson was a fourth-round Draft pick of the Rockies in 2010 and logged 379 total plate appearances at the Class A Advanced level from 2010-11, finishing with a .229 average, five home runs and 19 stolen bases while playing second base. Wilson, a baseball and football player at North Carolina State University, grew up rooting for the Yankees and fulfilled a lifetime dream last year when he spent a six-day residency at the Bronx Bombers' camp in Tampa, Fla.
Wilson logged one official Spring Training at-bat on March 2 last year, striking out against Braves left-hander Max Fried in a pinch-hit appearance for Aaron Judge.

"Some people get confused [and think], 'Is this just a stunt or whatever?' They don't know me," Wilson -- who idolized Derek Jeter growing up -- said last year. "If you really know me, baseball's been a part of my blood. It's about who I am and where I come from and what I've done."
The next couple of months will be busy for Wilson, as he's set to replace Packers star Aaron Rodgers on the NFC's roster for the 2019 Pro Bowl, scheduled for Jan. 27 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. The Seattle star threw for a career-high 35 touchdowns this NFL season, but he and his Seahawks came up just short in their NFC Wild Card matchup against the Cowboys, losing 24-22 on Saturday in Dallas.
