Healy homers for fourth time in four games

SEATTLE -- continued his recent hot streak with this fourth home run in four games on Wednesday night and this one came against his former A's team as the Mariners first baseman ripped a solo shot in the third inning at Safeco Field in a 3-2 loss.
Healy came off the disabled list last Thursday in Cleveland after missing 16 games with a sprained right ankle. He hit three home runs in two games on Saturday and Sunday against the Indians and followed up with a 402-foot blast off A's right-hander .
It was Healy's first hit against his former A's club, which dealt him to Seattle in November for reliever and Minor League infielder Alexander Campos. He added a ninth-inning single off closer in a 2-for-4 night.
Healy got off to a slow start with his new club, but now has hits in six of his last seven games to raise his average from .056 to .217.
"Ryon swung the bat outstanding tonight," said manager Scott Servais. "He was right on a number of balls. The big home run, a good at-bat against their closer late, which was great to see. His timing is getting better, he's controlling the strike zone better. He's hunting his pitch, he's getting it and he's not missing too often."
