Sale, widely viewed as one of the Majors' best pitchers who hasn't played in the postseason, will make his third spring start in a matchup between clubs who meet on Opening Day at Fenway Park on April 3.
Sale, who has made two starts this spring and is 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA in six innings with seven strikeouts, will not pitch in the season opener but will start Game 2 on April 5, manager John Farrell announced Wednesday. Reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello will take the hill for his first career Opening Day start. More >
