Piscotty extends hit streak to 14 with homer

BALTIMORE -- A's outfielder extended his hitting streak to a career-high 14 games with a solo shot in the second inning at Camden Yards of Thursday evening's 5-3 loss to Baltimore.
Piscotty's two-out blast against Orioles right-hander gave him 24 on the year, which is also a career high. He has nine home runs and 23 RBIs in his past 23 games.
The A's loss tonight put them 1 1/2 games behind the Yankees for the top American League Wild Card spot.
