Stevie Wilkerson's amazing, acrobatic home run robbery in the regular-season finale at Fenway Park earned him the final Play of the Week, presented by W.B. Mason, honors of September.
MLB announced the Orioles outfielder's grab as the Play of the Week on Monday.
Wilkerson might have made the play of the year in the very last game. With Jackie Bradley Jr.'s long drive headed for the right-field seats, Wilkerson raced along the wall before leaping high above it to take the home run away from JBJ -- who knows a highlight-reel grab when he sees one.
"It was all a matter of time until my debts had to be paid,” Bradley said after the game. "That was a great catch. Great catch, Stevie Wilkerson. I definitely hope you win play of the year so I can always be a part of it. It’s the first one I’ve ever been robbed. I’m usually the smooth criminal."
After cartwheeling over a corner of the wall to complete the catch, Wilkerson slung the ball back toward the infield and started celebrating with his O's teammates. His catch also preserved a tie game in the eighth inning.
