Both of these clubs enter tonight with 9-6 records after splitting the first two games of this three-game series. Ramírez went deep in Cleveland's 6-0 win on Saturday, thereby becoming the first player in franchise history to homer against each of MLB's 29 other teams, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. That bit of history came a few days after Ramírez became Cleveland's all-time leader in games played. Star rookie Chase DeLauter also homered Saturday, giving him five long balls through his first 14 career regular-season games. Right-hander Tanner Bibee will get the ball for the Guardians. He has allowed one earned run in each of his last two starts.
Bibee will be opposed veteran lefty Chris Sale. After a couple of strong starts to begin his year, Sale got hit around for six runs over four innings by the Angels on Monday. Prior to Saturday's loss, the Braves had scored 26 runs over their previous three games, all victories. Acuña walloped his first home run of the year on Friday, but it's first baseman Matt Olson and second-year catcher Drake Baldwin who have been driving Atlanta's offense. Those two have combined for nine homers, and each has a slugging percentage better than .600.
