Here is what you need to know about this matchup.
Rangers at Red Sox, 7:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock
Boston (29-39) enters its matchup with Texas aiming for its first three-game winning streak since May 18-20, when it swept a series from the Royals.
Not much has gone right this season for the Red Sox, but everything has clicked so far this series. The lineup has struck for 16 runs -- and four home runs -- over the last two games. First baseman Willson Contreras, the club's most consistent hitter this season, is 5-for-8 with three extra-base hits in that span.
Boston will turn to rookie left-hander Connelly Early, who has a 3.30 ERA through his first 13 starts this season.
Texas is set to counter with veteran right-hander Nathan Eovaldi, who spent parts of five seasons with the Red Sox from 2018-22 -- including as a key part of the World Series-winning outfit in '18. Eovaldi has a 4.26 ERA in 13 starts and will look to bounce back after allowing at least four runs in three consecutive outings.
One bright spot for the Rangers (34-36) has been outfielder Wyatt Langford. He's rapped out five hits this series, his best two-game stretch since returning from the IL last weekend.
