No. 22 overall prospectWilly Adames (Rays' No. 2) continued his strong spring campaign Wednesday as he connected on a solo home run in Tampa Bay's 7-2 loss against the Orioles.
The home run, a third-inning solo shot, was Adames' second this spring. The 22-year-old shortstop walked and struck out in his other plate appearances, finishing 1-for-3. Adames now owns a .412 Spring Training average after the performance and has hit safely in six of his eight games with the Rays.
No. 81 overall prospect Christian Arroyo (Rays' No. 6) accounted for the Rays' second run with an RBI single and also showed off his defensive skillset with a diving play at third base.

Other top prospect performances from Wednesday's action:
• No. 7 overall prospect Nick Senzel (Reds' No. 1) went 1-for-3 with a double and a sacrifice fly, while Phil Ervin (Reds' No. 23) also had a strong game, going 1-for-2 with a two-run triple and a walk.

• No. 8 overall prospect Fernando Tatis Jr. (Padres' No. 1) went 1-for-3 and, per usual, the lanky 19-year-old shortstop also made a highlight-reel catch. He's collected a hit in four of his past six contests and owns a .346 average in the Cactus League.

• Batting second and starting in center field, No. 27 overall prospect Lewis Brinson (Marlins' No. 1) went 2-for-2 with a double and a walk. Now hitting .409 on the spring, the 23-year-old outfielder is attempting to make Miami's Opening Day roster. On the mound for the Marlins, Pablo Lopez (Marlins' No. 24) struck out three over two innings in his third scoreless outing of the spring. Working 4 1/3 frames in that span, the right-hander has allowed just two hits and one walk while striking out eight.

• No. 28 overall prospect Luis Robert (White Sox No. 3) belted a go-ahead grand slam in the eighth inning to help complete the White Sox comeback against the Reds. The 20-year-old center fielder had been held hitless in his prior three at-bats in the game, albeit with his first stolen base of the spring.

• Brewers No. 11 prospectMauricio Dubon plated two runs with a double in a 1-for-2 game that improved his Cactus League average to .353.
• Orioles No. 8 prospectAnthony Santander upped his RBI total to seven with a two-run single against the Rays. The 2016 Rule 5 pick is hitting .333 with seven RBIs this spring.
• Yankees No. 19 prospectBilly McKinney delivered a go-ahead grand slam with two outs in the eighth inning. It was the fourth home run in Grapefruit League play for McKinney, who's also hitting .313 with 11 RBIs.
