The Mariners acquired outfielder from the Orioles in exchange for right-handers , and Harrison Kreiling before Monday's 6 p.m. ET Trade Deadline.

Hoppe debuted this season and has posted a 5.79 ERA in 24 games with Seattle, and both Moore and Kreiling are Minor Leaguers.

TRADE DETAILS
Mariners get: OF Taylor Ward
Orioles get: RHPs Alex Hoppe, Brock Moore, Harrison Kreiling

Ward’s time in Baltimore was brief, as the 32-year-old outfielder was acquired from the Angels in a 1-for-1 trade for right-hander Grayson Rodriguez last Nov. 19. The O’s were intrigued by Ward’s right-handed power, which led to career highs in home runs (36), doubles (31) and RBIs (103) with the Halos in 2025.

However, Ward’s power didn’t translate to Camden Yards exactly as intended. Through 111 games, he had seven home runs, only one of which came at home.

With that said, Ward had been among the most reliable hitters in the Orioles’ lineup this season. He has already set a career high in walks (87) and continually produced quality at-bats.

Ward is set to become a free agent after the season, though he could be a prime candidate to receive a qualifying offer.
