As Team Italy prepares for its Saturday matchup against Panama at Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in Taiwan, we may be learning more about what makes this squad tick.

During its Friday night game against Chinese Taipei, some unusual equipment was spotted in the team’s dugout.

It would appear that Team Italy – which, to be fair, has a roster that includes active Major and Minor Leaguers who must still be suffering from pretty serious jet lag – wasn’t satisfied merely with having access to coffee in the clubhouse and opted to add a Nespresso machine to its dugout spread.

While Italy was ahead at the time of the discovery, the team did ultimately take the loss in that game, 11-7. No word yet on whether the Nespresso was still operational at the time of Chinese Taipei’s late comeback.
