Anderson celebrates birthday with 13th homer

In celebration of his 25th birthday, the White Sox shortstop homered for a second straight game and for a second consecutive at-bat with a three-run blast to right field in the first inning of Saturday's 7-6 victory for Oakland at Guaranteed Rate Field. "Yeah, it was a birthday gift to myself, I guess," Anderson said. "It was a good pitch, though. I was able to handle it and drive it out of the park. Luckily, I got it up high enough."
