's circus over-the-shoulder catch added to the wild ride of the A's 6-4 win over the White Sox in Game 3 of the American League Wild Card Series on Thursday at the Coliseum.

With two outs in the fifth inning and one run already home, Adam Engel hit a popup into short right that sent La Stella sprinting into the outfield. He extended his glove and the ball popped out at first, but the A's second baseman was able to adjust, juggling the ball and securing the grab on the second try. The catch limited the damage in the frame, keeping the score tied at 4.

"Those types of plays start rallies for teams," A's third baseman Chad Pinder said. "That was a difficult play. That was awesome."

Sure enough, La Stella's catch led to a rally, as Pinder delivered a go-ahead two-run single in the bottom of the inning.
