LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers Hall of Fame former manager Tom Lasorda was released from the hospital on Sunday and is resting at home after Friday surgery to replace a pacemaker.
"Tommy Lasorda has been released from the hospital and is at home resting comfortably," the club announced on its Twitter account.
Lasorda, 89, had been hospitalized since early this month. He received his first pacemaker after a 2012 heart attack, his second. A 1996 heart attack forced him to give up his role as manager. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997.
In his 68th season with the Dodgers, Lasorda is special advisor to chairman Mark Walter.
Ken Gurnick
