Shaw exits game with finger injury

MILWAUKEE -- After appearing to jam his right index finger trying to make a diving play in the top of the sixth inning, Brewers third baseman and RBI leader exited Sunday's game against the Mets in the seventh.
The Brewers announced it was a "right index finger injury" for Shaw, whose run-scoring groundout in the first inning gave him 31 RBIs this season. That put Shaw in a temporary tie for third in the Majors with the Nationals' and the Mariners' .
Shaw didn't immediately leave the game after he was hurt going for ' infield hit in the sixth. After a visit from an athletic trainer, Shaw remained in the game to field a grounder for the final out of the inning, then led off the bottom of the sixth and grounded out softly back to the mound.
