Williams throws 2 1/3 scoreless frames in his 2nd rehab start

, on his way back from his July 2025 right UCL internal bracing procedure, made his second rehab start on Friday night, this time with Double-A Harrisburg.

After allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits in just two thirds of an inning in his first outing with Single-A Fredericksburg, things went a bit more smoothly; limited to just 36 pitches as he builds back up, Williams allowed a hit over 2 1/3 scoreless innings with two strikeouts.

Williams, now 34, has been with the Nationals since the 2023 season but has made just 17 starts since signing his current two-year, $14 million deal in December 2024.
