Corner infielders Ty France and combined for five hits and five RBIs Monday night as Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore continued its strong second-half run with an 8-7 California League victory over Inland Empire at Lake Elsinore.
Meanwhile, right-handed pitcher Cal Quantrill, the Padres' top pick in June's Draft, ran his streak of innings without allowing an earned run at Tri-City to 11, although he gave up three unearned runs on three hits with five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.
First baseman Naylor (.304) was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Third baseman France (.331) was 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and three RBIs, including a walk-off sacrifice fly in the ninth as the Storm improved to 29-22 in the second half and 61-60 overall.
Center fielder Michael Gettys (.306) had a double in two at-bats with three walks and two runs scored, including the game-winner after drawing a walk to lead off the ninth. Designated hitter (.206) was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Shortstop Luis Urias (.324) was 1-for-4 with two runs scored.
Starting right-hander Chris Huffman (4.07 ERA) allowed five runs on nine hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings for Lake Elsinore.
Left-hander Jose Castillo, who was promoted to Lake Elsinore from Class A Fort Wayne earlier in the day, allowed two unearned runs on a hit and three walks in two-thirds of an inning. Right-hander (5.82) allowed two hits with two strikeouts in 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Right-hander Phil Maton (3-1, 1.69) struck out two in a perfect inning to get the win.

TRIPLE-A EL PASO (65-58) -- OKLAHOMA CITY 8, Chihuahuas 1: RF Hunter Renfroe (.317) was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a double. 2B (.322) had a double in four at-bats with a run scored. Starting RHP Carlos Pimentel (11-7, 6.10 ERA) allowed eight runs on 10 hits and four walks with six strikeouts in four innings. RHP Eric Yardley (3.56) allowed two hits with a strikeout in two scoreless innings. LHP (1.27) allowed a hit with a strikeout in a scoreless inning. RHP Jason Jester (7.36) struck out two in a perfect inning.

CLASS A FORT WAYNE (20-30, 56-64) -- DAYTON 6, TinCaps 0: SS Ruddy Giron (.226) had two doubles in four at-bats. DH Tyler Selesky (.348) had a triple in three at-bats with a walk. 2B Peter Van Gansen (.229) was 1-for-3 with a walk. Starting LHP Thomas Dorminy (3-4, 3.46 ERA) allowed five runs on six hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. RHP Aaron Cressley (3.86) allowed a run on two hits and a walk with a strikeout in 2 2/3 innings.
SHORT-SEASON CLASS A TRI-CITY (7-11, 26-30) -- BOISE 5, Dust Devils 2: RF Luis Asuncion (.236) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
