Vote for the best nickname in Minor League Baseball!

7:39 PM UTC

Minor League Baseball is full of quirks and joy, two of its most endearing qualities. That extends not only to the games and teams but the players themselves.

Across 120 full-season teams and more than 6,000 players, there are countless characters with incredible nicknames to match. Some of them may become the stars of tomorrow's MLB, while others will remain local fan favorites.

Last year, we ran through the best nicknames in each farm system, but now it's time to crown the best in all of Minor League Baseball with Nickname Knockout.

Voting is underway for this 32-player bracket and will run through Friday, May 29, at noon ET. Fans can complete five rounds of voting with head-to-head matchups, and every round will contribute points to a player's overall score. Each round doubles in point value, and the player with the most points across every bracket will be the winner.

These nicknames each have unique backstories, which you can learn about by clicking “Nickname Backstory” next to the player's image. There, you'll find a video of them talking about the moniker's origin, along with more background information.

Below are the 32 nominees for best nickname in Minor League Baseball, listed in alphabetical order by last name.
