Left-hander Will Headean continued his run of strong starts for Class-A Tri-City Wednesday night.
Headean, 22, the Padres' 13th-round pick in the 2015 MLB Draft, allowed one hit and two walks with four strikeouts over five shutout innings to lead the Dust Devils (8-5) to a 10-1 win over Vancouver in Pasco, Wash.
Headean is 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA in three starts for Tri-City after appearing earlier this season in relief for Class-A Fort Wayne. He has allowed 10 hits and two walks with 13 strikeouts in 15 innings with the Dust Devils.
Right fielder Luis Asuncion (.310) was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run scored for the Dust Devils. Designated hitter Westhers Magdaleno (.292) was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
Second baseman Nate Easley (.293) was 1-for-2 with three walks and three runs scored. Left fielder Josh Magee (.184) had a double in three at-bats with two walks, a RBI and two runs scored. First baseman Kyle Overstreet (.239) was 1-for-2 with a walk, a RBI and a run scored.
Right-hander Mark Zimmerman (2.84 ERA) followed Headean and allowed a run on two hits and a walk with two strikeouts in two innings. Right-hander Will Stillman (0.00) struck out the side in a perfect inning. Righty Evan Miller (0.00) struck out two in a perfect inning.

DOUBLE-A SAN ANTONIO (2-4, 24-52) -- The Missions were off Wednesday for the Texas League All-Star break.
HIGH SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (4-3, 36-41) -- Inland Empire 8, STORM 3: CF Michael Gettys (.400) was 2-for-4 with a double and a RBI. Left fielder Edwin Moreno (.238) was 2-for-4 with a triple and a RBI. Starting right-handed pitcher Zech Lemond (1-3, 6.82 ERA) allowed eight runs on 11 hits with four walks in four innings. Right-handed pitcher Ben Paullus (3.24) gave up two hits and a walk with two strikeouts in three scoreless innings. Righty pitcher Martires Arias (4.43) struck out three in two perfect innings.
LOW SINGLE-A FORT WAYNE (4-3, 40-37) -- Dayton 2, TIN CAPS 1: Starting left-handed pitcher Jerry Keel (4-7, 2.63 ERA) allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts in five innings. Lefty pitcher Elvin Liriano (2.92) allowed a walk with a strikeout in an otherwise perfect two innings. Right-handed pitcher Gerardo Reyes (1.78) allowed a hit with a strikeout in a scoreless inning.
ARIZONA ROOKIE PADRES (6-2) -- ANGELS 6, Padres 3: SS Fernando Tatis Jr. (.345) was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Designated hitter Hudson Potts (.300) was 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Starting right-handed pitcher Andres Munoz (16.20 ERA) gave up two runs on a hit and three walks in an inning. Right-handed pitcher Jonathan Guzman (1-1, 3.52) gave up two unearned runs on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings. Righty Jim McDade (3.86) allowed two runs on three hits with a strikeout in 2 1/3 innings.

Starting left-handed pitcher Aaron Lezama (8.44 ERA) allowed four runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts in three innings. Right-handed pitcher Dauris Valdez (6.57) allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
