Braves at Nationals
The wager: Ronald Acuña Jr. over 1.5 total bases
Line
: -125 (bet $125 to win $100)

Right-hander Jackson Tetreault is set to make his MLB debut on Tuesday. Who better to greet a rookie to the show than Acuña?

In the first half of the month, Acuña has mashed right-handed pitching. During this 27-at-bat span, he’s posted a .459 wOBA on two home runs and a double.

As for Tetreault, he heads to the bigs having given up 10 home runs in 58 Triple-A innings this season, which equates to 1.6 home runs per nine innings. Six of those home runs were hit by right-handed hitters, and he also gave up seven doubles to righties. Acuña is only +190 to hit a home run -- clearly, it’s with good reason.

Rays at Yankees
The wager: Rays moneyline
Line: +190 (bet $100 to win $190)

It’s unlikely Gerrit Cole gets rocked like he did last time out, but this Tampa Bay lineup is quite familiar with Cole. Ji-Man Choi, Yandy Díaz and Randy Arozarena all have strong track records against the New York right-hander.

The Rays will also combat Cole with the same right-hander who led them to a win the last time they saw New York's ace: former Yankee Corey Kluber. There are a few Yankees hitters who have good numbers against Corey Kluber, but he’s been generating a ton of soft contact lately (25.4%). He’s giving up a high rate of fly balls over his past four starts, but a good portion of those are being hit around the infield. Also, the last 79 batters Kluber has faced have only posted a 16.7% line-drive rate.

Mets vs. Brewers
The wager: Total over 8 runs
Line: -105 (bet $105 to win $100)

Adrian Houser and Chris Bassitt both did reasonably well in April, but they haven’t been nearly as reliable since the start of May. Milwaukee’s right-hander has given up five-plus runs in four of his last seven starts and in two of his last three. New York’s righty has given up four-plus runs in four of his last five.

More importantly, Tuesday’s over has hit in five of Bassitt’s last eight starts and five of Houser’s last seven. The Mets continue to mash right-handed pitching, ranking among the top 10 in wOBA and ISO against right-handed pitching since May 20. The Brewers haven’t been as good against righties, but Bassitt has been roughed up by a few teams recently that’ve been performing similar to the Brewers.

White Sox at Tigers
The wager: Dylan Cease over 7.5 strikeouts
Line: -125 (bet $125 to win $100)

Cease bounced back in the strikeout department last start, but he still had a rough go vs. the Dodgers last Thursday. But all we’re concerned with are the strikeouts, which the right-hander can rack up in short order. In fact, he did just that when he saw this Tigers lineup back in April. It took him just 79 pitches to punch out eight over five innings. Detroit remains one of the lineups most susceptible to striking out against right-handed pitching, posting a 26% strikeout rate against righties since May 20.

Astros vs. Rangers
The wager: Yordan Alvarez over 1.5 total bases
Line: -110 (bet $110 to win $100)

Dane Dunning did pretty well the last time he saw the Astros. However, he did give up a home run to Alvarez — the first of his career against the Texas right-hander in six at-bats. With the way Alvarez is hitting right now, he could very well hit another (+280) on Tuesday.

Over his last 75 at-bats (86 plate appearances) against right-handed pitching, Houston’s big lefty bat has a 45.5% hard-contact rate and 31.8% line-drive rate. That’s led to five home runs, four doubles and a .496 wOBA against righties. Meanwhile, Dunning has not been good against left-handed hitters. They’ve registered a measly 9.8% soft-contact rate over his last four starts while posting a 25.6% line-drive rate, leading to two home runs, five doubles and a .395 wOBA.
